Ⅲ.词语辨析 1.at the moment, for the moment，for a moment，in a moment 这四个词组都是由moment构成的介词词组，其意思和用法如下： (1)at the moment “此刻，那时”，常用于一般现在时、一般过去时和进行时。 e.g.I'm busy at the moment. 我这会儿很忙。 I didn't buy that book，because I had no money on me at the moment. 我没买那本书，因为当时我身上没带钱。 Tom is having breakfast at the moment. 汤姆此时正在吃早饭。 (2)for the moment暂时，目前。 e.g.We had to stay in the Inn for the moment, as the hotel around are full. 因为周围的旅馆都住满了，我们只好暂住小客栈。 (3)for a moment “一会儿,片刻”,表示片刻的延缓，常与延续性动词连用。 e.g.I had to think for a moment before I remember his name. 我想了一会儿才记起他的名字。 (4)in a moment “立即,马上”，指在片刻时间内或后.多与将来时或过去时连用。 e.g.The film will start in a moment. 电影马上就要开演了。 It was all done in a moment. 马上就全做完了。 2.die of，die from，die by，die for die of和die from两者意思都是“因……而死……”,后面接死亡的原因作宾语。指因某种疾病而死时，两者都可用。比如die from/of heart illness(死于心脏病);die from/of lung—cancer(死于肺癌)。但是，如果指由于事故、环境造成的间接死亡,如死于枪伤、虚弱、过度劳累、饮食过度及空气污染等多用die from，如果指由于疾病、饥饿、寒冷、年老或感情造成的死亡多用die of。 e.g.die from a wound/an accident/an earthquake/ overwork/ weekness/polluted air 受伤而死/死于一次事故/地震/过度劳累/过度虚弱/污染的空气 die of hunger and cold/old age/ joy/ disappointment/ grief/ fear 死于饥饿和寒冷/年老/高兴/失望/悲伤/恐惧 die by 指死于暴力，刀或剑等凶器。 e.g.die by the sword/hanging 死于剑下/吊死 die by one's own hand 自杀 die for意思是“为……而死,为……而献身”,表示为某种事业,某种目的而死。 e.g.die for liberty/ the country/the people/the revolutionary cause 为自由/国家/人民/革命事业而死 (责任编辑：admin) |
