Islamabad, Pakistan, June 22nd—Two mountain climbers surprisingly survived a fall of over 500 feet on the 25530-foot mountain in Pakistan Saturday. The two climbers were climbing an ice-covered wall of the mountain when they suddenly lost their footing and fell about 560 feet to a narrow snow-covered ledge(悬崖突出部分) below. “We were lucky that ledge was there,” said the climbers. “Otherwise, we would have fallen over 2000 feet.” If the ledge had not been there, the two climbers would almost certainly have met their death. “It’s a wonder,” the climbers said, “that we landed on the ledge, and the snow was loose enough to cushion our fall. We are thankful that we survived.”
When a reporter asked them if they planned to give up mountain climbing after their narrow escape, the two climbers replied, “Not at all. We’ll be going back up there just as soon as we get out of the hospital.”

    A. Over 2560 feet high B. Over 2000 feet high
    C. 25530 feet high D. Over 1400 feet high
    64. What are the two climbers going to do when they get well again?
    A. To go ahead with the climbing. B. To give up mountain climbing.
    C. To take up some other activities. D. To go back to the snow-covered ledge.

Many Web sites offer free services to create personal Web pages and fill them with writings and pictures. These sites include “MySpace”, used mainly by teenagers and young adults. MySpace is an online community that lets people share messages and pictures with an increasing number of friends. It is the most popular social networking site on the Web.
YouTube is another Internet site that became more popular this year. This Web site lets anyone create, share and watch short videos. People can watch almost anything on YouTube: news, sports and entertainment events. There are music videos, and videos made by people in their own homes. These include videos of people singing or dancing, or animals doing funny things. Three young men created YouTube almost two years ago as a personal video sharing service. They recently sold it to Google for more than one and a half billion dollars.
