    参考例文:
Li Hua listens to her teachers attentively, tries to catch everything that the teachers say in class, reviews it in time and consults her teachers as often as possible if she has some problems. She spent less time doing her homework, so it is certain that she can go to bed earlier and she always keeps energetic in the day. However, Wang Hai has quite a different way of learning. He likes to stay up late at night doing his homework, so he often feels sleepy in class. As a result, he misses lots of key points but doesn’t solve the difficult problems in time. It usually takes him more time to finish his homework and almost has no time to review what he learned in class, which makes it difficult for him to concentrate on what he is doing. In my opinion, Li Hua learns more effectively in class and has more free time to enjoy herself. So I prefer her learning method.
    听力原文:
    第一节
    Text 1
W: I suppose you’ve bought some gifts for your family.
M: Well, I’ve bought a shirt for my father and two books for my sister, but I haven’t decided what to buy for my mother. Probably some jewels.
    Text 2
M: I’d like to drive to the concert, but my brother will use the car tonight.
W: Who needs a car? We can take the bus if we go a little earlier.
    Text 3
W: Why don’t we stay at the Grand Regency Hotel?
M: You are joking! Do you know how expensive that place is? There is no way we can afford to stay there.
    Text 4
M: What’s the matter with Mary?
W: She becomes nervous whenever it comes to learning mathematics.
    Text 5
W: I wish my hair was longer.
M: Yes, pity you had it cut. If only you’d listened to me.
    第二节
    Text 6
W: Excuse me, but could you tell me when the next plane for Berlin leaves?
M: The plane for Berlin leaves every two hours. Let me see… The next one is in 40 minutes, at eleven o’clock.
W: How much is a second class ticket, please?
M: We have only first class tickets left. It is $350 one way.
W: OK, I’d like one for the next flight.
M: I’m sorry, but I don’t sell tickets. You can get one from the machine over there or wait until you board and buy one from the airline attendant.
W: All right. By the way, what’s the gate number?
M: Four. Down the hall and to the left.
    W: Thanks a lot.
    Text 7
W: Hi, Mike! How are you feeling now?
M: Hi, Jacky! How did you know I was here, in the hospital?
W: I was talking with Tom yesterday and he told me your right leg had been injured. How did it happen?
M: Their Right Back knocked me down when I rushed to their goal with the ball.
W: Wow! He must have hit you hard.
M: Of course. He hit me from the back and sent me rolling over here and there. At the time I was in a lot of pain. Anyway, they brought me to the hospital.
    W: Nothing serious, I hope.
M: The doctor said there weren’t any internal injuries, but I’d better stay a couple of days for observation.
    W: Well. Take it easy.
M: Thanks for coming. And thanks for the flowers.
    Text8
M: My God! Where is my suitcase?
W: Oh! I think that they’ve unloaded all the luggage. Well, it’s not here.
M: I suppose that suitcase was lost, wasn’t it?
    W: Which suitcase was it?
M: The one with all the gifts.
W: Are you sure you checked it in?
    M: Sure.
W: It might have been loaded on another flight.
M: Do you think that it could have been left behind?
W: That’s always a possibility. Sooner or later, it’ll be traced and rerouted.
M: I hope you are right.
W: Well…What do we do now?
M: I should report it to the airline. Look, why don’t you wait for me in the coffee shop? I’ll meet you there as soon as I’m through.
    W: OK! Good luck!
    Text 9
    M: What a crowd!
    W: Let’s get in line.
M: What are you mailing, Sally?
W: A textbook. It’s based on a new approach to the teaching of physics. I want my colleagues to take a look at it.
M: I’m sending my family some of the photos we took.
W: This line is moving very slowly.
M: David said he’d meet us at the bookstore by 3.
W: We’ll be out of here in 15 minutes.
    M: What’s it now?
    W: 2:30.
M: The bookstore is at least a twenty-minute walk.
W: We should have left the hotel earlier. And it is useless to be impatient.
M: We’ll be through here by 2:40. I don’t think that’s the way the system works. It’s first come, first served whether we’re in a hurry or not.
W: I suppose you are right.
    M: Look, it’s our turn.
    W: At last.
M: We’ll be out of here in no time.
    Text 10
Mothers frequently told their children: Don’t eat too many sweets—they’re not good for you. Most of us know that much sugar is bad for our teeth or can make us fat. Now two doctors have found another reason for not eating too many sweets. They may cause skin problems. Conditions such as acne, boils or itchiness may be made worse to eat these foods on an empty stomach because they will have the strongest effect on the skin. The doctors recommend that other foods such as potatoes, brown rice and fresh fruit should be eaten instead of sweets.
